PRAÇA PARIS
Restored square featuring a typical Parisian garden of the period, with large almond trees, works of art and sculptures
Praça Paris is a street in the Glória district, designed by French urban planner Alfred Agache and built in 1926. The design reproduces the layout of a typical Parisian garden of the period, housing a number of large almond trees, works of art and sculptures. This jewel of the Belle Époque had suffered the ravages of time. The square was completely restored to its former glory in 1992. A popular spot for athletes and hikers alike, it is guarded day and night by the police.
