Opened in a former chocolate factory, this alternative cultural and artistic place houses 52 workshops and 21 companies. It is an interesting incubator of alternative creation of 15,000m2. It is located in Rio's former black neighborhood, Santo Cristo, in the middle of the alleys of what was the "Pequena África". Managed as a creative association since 2012, this former artistic squat is now an institution. The Bhering factory is now oriented towards the promotion of cultural and artistic actions and the development of the creative economy in Rio.
