The corredo cultural consists of the Maison France-Brésil, the Espace culturel des Courriers and the Centre culturel de la Banco do Brasil, three historic buildings located in the same area, in the city center, right next to the Igreja da Candelaria. Exhibitions change approximately every two to three months. As budgets for culture are not a priority, budget cuts have long hampered the operation of this complex, but it would appear that the current impetus is rather positive.
