ESPAÇO CULTURAL DA MARINHA
Cultural center on Guanabara Bay, featuring a permanent exhibition on the history of Brazilian navigation
This cultural center dedicated to the navy, located on the shores of Guanabara Bay, features an interesting permanent exhibition on the history of Brazilian navigation, as well as numerous maps and navigational instruments used by the Brazilian navy. You can visit a replica of a 17th-century Portuguese conquistador caravel, and above all the Riachuelo, a Brazilian navy war submarine dating from 1973 and converted into a discovery museum in 1997.
