We met chocolate producer Thàbata Tubino by chance during a trip to the Basque Country. Seduced by certain Basque recipes, she tried to recreate a local version on her return to Brazil. And much to her delight. The pastries on offer in the Gàvea shopping boutique are delicious. The cheesecake is available in plain, cocoa or coffee versions. You can buy the pastries by the piece or the whole cake. Finally, the family has teamed up with the Vero ice cream parlour to offer some excellent ice creams.
