Angra dos Reis district with a number of interesting beaches, including Monsuaba beach, Espia beach...

Close to the Petrobras oil terminal, Ponta Leste is a district of Angra dos Reis. Ponta Leste's beaches are well worth a visit. Monsuaba beach in particular, with a small waterfall(cantagalo) that can be reached via a dirt track opposite the church square. From the beach at Espia, at the tip of Ponta Leste, planted with mango trees and where an obelisk(aquidaba) commemorates the sinking of a warship in 1906, you have a lovely view of the bay. The west is wild and deserted. Diving on the beaches of Maceis and Pontal.
