Chapel built in memory of Teodoro, a freed slave who died in the Perequê River during Holy Week
Legend has it that this chapel was built in 1901 in memory of Teodoro, a freed slave who died in the Perequê River during Holy Week. A button from his shirt was caught in the net he threw into the water, dragging him to the bottom. A lady, Dona Generosa, promised to send him a cedar cross, but forgot her promise. One day, a friend entered her house, which smelled of... cedar wood. She had a cedar cross made and a chapel built.

Cette petite chapelle se voit à peine depuis la route. Elle est à voir surtout pour l'histoire de sa construction, mais en soi rien d'exceptionnel.
