Praia do Cachadaço is a magnificent beach lined with palm and almond trees. Legend has it that pirates used to hide their stolen booty here. The Paraty and Trindade coasts were once hotbeds of piracy. Heavy galleons with gold-laden holds were highly coveted. The beauty of the area only adds to its legends. Today, this natural pool of limpid water is a refuge for fish of infinite hues, trapped in the volcanic rocks at ebb tide. It's worth a visit to Trindade in its own right.
