Porto Veleiro is a superb little hotel surrounded by water, in a villa on the opposite bank to the town center. Rooms with exposed beams and large, small-paned windows offer canal views from every angle. The aperitif under the poolside gazebo at sunset is delicious. The two beautiful swimming pools, with palm trees and solarium overlooking the city and the canal, are exceptional. The services are of a high standard, and the prices are quite reasonable. The breakfast is very good. A good deal.
