In a region that is establishing itself as a national gastronomic hub, but which visiting Europeans still know little about, the Sitio Gastronômico is an interesting gustatory stop-off close to the ancient imperial city. In a charming rural setting, housed in small buildings in keeping with the spirit of the place, the restaurant offers authentically slow-food cuisine, with excellent work on vegetables and meats. Aesthetics are as important as taste. An interesting tasting menu is available.
