Despite the interest in Petropolis' urban heritage, many historic buildings have suffered the ravages of time. Casa Ipiranga is one of the few remaining 19th-century houses in Petropolis. Built in 1884, Casa Ipiranga boasts beautiful gardens and has retained its period-style furnishings. The 19th-century atmosphere has been preserved. You can still feel the imperial dimension of the place. Concerts of classical and popular music are held here regularly. It's a great way to enjoy the charms of Petropolis.
