The Mineirão is a 62,000-seat soccer stadium inaugurated in 1965. It hosts matches for Cruzeiro's resident team (Minas champions in 2024) as well as concerts by international and national stars. The stadium hosted 6 matches at the 2014 World Cup. It was here that Brazil suffered a historic rout against Germany in the semi-finals (7-1).
The Museu Brasileiro do Futebol (MBF) opened its doors in 2013 and features various exhibitions relating to the history of soccer in Brazil. This is BH's Maracanã.
