These three superb buildings stand on a space, being the new headquarters of the Mineiro government.
This is the new seat of government of Minas Gerais. Over an area of more than 800,000 m², three superb buildings stand out: the dome is the JK auditorium, the building reminiscent of the presidential palace in Brasilia is the Palacio Tiradentes, the government palace, and the two majestic S-shaped blocks are the Minas and Gerais buildings, headquarters of the various secretariats of state. The whole complex was designed by the great Oscar Niemeyer, 70 years after he began work on Pampulha.
