RESTAURANT DONA LIA
Another magical address for travelers who want to get off the beaten track. The Dona Lia restaurant in the Morro de Santa Ana district is a popular eatery where tourists rarely venture, and that's a shame. In a very simple setting, Dona Lia, a small lady who looks like she's stepped out of a Cinema Novo film, offers marmitex and feijões tropeiros for modest sums. On Fridays, Dona Lia offers a good feijoada. It's a bit far from the center, but buses to Morro de Santa Ana stop right across the street. Worth a visit!
