BAR BARROCO

It's the must-visit bar for university students in Ouro Preto, with its alternative vibe... Of course, it's a place where the world comes to life in a rockin' atmosphere, with old wooden chairs and graffiti on the walls. Long hair (and ideas often as long as the hair), beards and black clothes, the hippie atmosphere has survived in this little German-Pratin corner of the tropics. You'll find good, cheap beer and excellent coxinhas. Step out of the tourist bars to meet one of the city's most important constituents: the students.
