Chapel registered in the Portuguese overseas registers and designed by Manuel Francisco Lisboa, Aleijadinho's own father.
The first chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição was built in 1699. In 1707, Portuguese overseas registers record "the appointment of the first parish priest of the Freguesia de Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Vila Rica et de l'ancien quartier d'Antônio Dias", which was built between 1727 and 1760. It was designed by Manuel Francisco Lisboa, Aleijadinho's own father. Their graves are in the church (Aleijadinho's is under the altar of N.S. de Boa Morte).
