MUSEU DO ORATORIO
A 3-storey oratory museum, housing a rich and astonishing collection of oratories of all shapes and sizes.
The Oratory Museum is certainly one of the city's most interesting museums. It houses a rich and astonishing collection of oratories of all shapes and sizes, often of extreme finesse. Some are made of almost pure gold. This collection of over 120 pieces, scattered over the museum's 3 floors, is housed in a pretty little colonial building next to the Carmelite church (Igreja do carmo), near Tiradentes square. Interesting documentation in French is available at the entrance.
