Gaveteiros is a pleasant restaurant just opposite Mariana Cathedral. Its location is very convenient, as you can take a lunch break between the city's various monuments. Mariana isn't usually your first stop in Brazil, so you're familiar with the "kilo", buffet or PF system. Here, then, you pay by the weight of the plate. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, and the food at La Mineira is of the highest quality. You can enjoy good mineira cuisine cooked over a wood fire, as well as vegetarian dishes.
