CONGONHAS MUSEUM
Museum recounting the history of the Congonhas sanctuary, a World Heritage site, through some interesting exhibits.
This modern museum tells the story of the Bom Jesus sanctuary and contains some interesting exhibits. It is the first in the country to be responsible for the conservation of a World Heritage site. The building housing the museum, with its sober, modernist cement architecture, is in harmony with the urban landscape of the small Baroque towns of Minas. With 3,452.30 m² of floor space, the museum features exhibition halls, a technical storeroom, a library, an auditorium, an educational area and a cafeteria. An outdoor amphitheater is also available.
