Juscelino Kubitschek (JK) is a hero in Brazil and in Diamantina. A native of the small town, this historical figure is a must-see. A visit to his museum will help you understand the vision of this altruistic man, a doctor by trade. The museum is the house where the ex-president (1956-1961), founder of Brasilia, spent a simple youth between the ages of 5 and 18. Numerous period photos turn this house into a place dedicated to the hagiography of the local hero. Not to be missed.

Fascinating visit where you will discover the room and kitchen in their country of origin. Many photos of JK which shows a man who had known to be simple and not forget its poor original. Some silhouette of the project of Brasilia in Diamantina by the authors of the plan. You feel in this region that there is a huge respect and love of this man.
