Museum on Rua Direita featuring less noble ores, a few precious stones, measuring instruments..
Despite its name, the museum displays precious and semi-precious stones, measuring instruments, furniture and oratories from the 18th and 19th centuries, and explains the origins of the town during the diamond cycle... The museum is housed in the former residence of Father José da Silva e Oliveira Rolim, in Diamantina, one of the fathers of the Inconfidência Mineira (Minas Gerais Conjuring). Its location in an area devoid of tall buildings allows an original view of church roofs and towers in the urban landscape. A little disappointing.
