To be honest, we don't go to the Chafariz restaurant for its architecture or decoration, which are very ordinary. We go because it's a perfect self-service restaurant for lunch, located right next to the Maria-Fumaça train station, and that's exactly what we're looking for in a restaurant. All the dishes are appetizing, from salads to desserts. The food is carefully prepared and well presented. The Chafariz restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet for R$50, without weighing the plate. Mineira cuisine and churrasco are the order of the day.
