As in many historic towns or near eco-tourism sites, tourist guide associations offer the services of trained professionals. In Serro, the churches are closed to the public, but guides from Acontur (Associação dos Condutores de Turismo) can accompany you to discover them and all the other secrets of the town, including the Matriz church, one of the largest religious buildings in colonial Baroque style. It's an interesting way to discover the city's secrets.
