Opened in 2007 in the heart of Pelourinho by two passionate Frenchmen, Casa do Amarelindo is a charming hotel with a dozen rooms, most of which have a magical view over the Bay of All Saints. All are spacious and comfortable, elegantly decorated in keeping with the city's African heritage. There's a cosy lounge on the first floor, delicately decorated with Brazilian handicrafts, and a small swimming pool overlooking the bay. An oasis of tranquillity in the historic center. One of Salvador's best addresses.

Consiglio di arrivare con Taxi perché possono entrare dentro il centro storico, uBer e altri mezzi non sono concessi, personale molto cortese e disponibile, hotel molto bello, caratteristico, molto curato, camere confortevoli arredate con gusto e qualità, molto pulito, ottima vista, bella la piscina che se piccola, e possibile vedere il tramonto dal hotel, colazione lascia a desiderare perché è fissa, portono loro e poco variata, la cena era buona, alcuni consigli nella hall su cosa fare in giornata, Salvador è una città dove il turista deve avere una attenzione maggiore riguardo alla sicurezza, comunque vicino nella piazza c'è un punto taxi, tanti negozi di souvenir, la domenica c'era un concerto vicino e molto bello, molta polizia vicino per la sicurezza pubblica.

Un petit bémol pour le service aux tables lors du petit déjeuner.
Bien dommage que ce service soit lent/ et beaucoup de gaspillage au niveau de la nourriture. Même si nous disons que nous ne voulions pas tout, le serveur nous le servait tout de meme.
Les personnes à la réception sont top ! Et le service à la réception est très bien.
Idéalement placé dans le quartier historique de Pelourinho, nous avions une chambre avec vue sur la baie de Salvador. Depuis notre réservation jusqu’à notre arrivée et pendant notre séjour l’hôtel vous propose des services afin de faciliter votre arrivée depuis l’aéroport, vous organiser des visites (à des tarifs normaux de surcroît !), vous conseiller des lieux et restaurants en ville ou encore vous faciliter un éventuel départ tardif / Late check out.
Le bar de l’hôtel sert une excellente Caipirinha et le restaurant gagne franchement à être connu. A faire au moins une fois durant le séjour.
Enfin, dernier détail et non des moindres, au-delà du fait que l’ensemble du personnel soit sympathique, l’établissement est tenu par des expatriés Français accueillants et amoureux du Brésil, ce qui facilite aussi les échanges.
Nous y retournerons sans hésitation !
