SOLAR DO UNHÃO - MUSEU DE ARTE MODERNA (MAM)
Aristocratic residential mansion now home to the Museu de Arte Moderna, with sculptures and a lovely view of the bay
The Solar do Unhão is worth a visit. An aristocratic residence, it dates from the 18th century and is composed of the Casa Grande, the Capela, the Senzala (the slave room) and outbuildings, such as a warehouse where sugar shipments were stored before being shipped to Europe.
The residential part now houses the Museu de Arte Moderna. Welcoming hillside garden with sculptures and a nice view of the bay. Jazz concerts on Saturdays: the Jam no MAM, at 6pm.

Beautiful walk in the gardens of works. Exhibitions and films in the buildings and a bar in the slaves level of the pontoon where you busy ships that porta sugar loafs.
Saturdays summer (December to April), who fell from the night, jazz concert behind the chapel. Musicians play and call those who they admit in crowds to them in interesting improvisations. You can drink and eat on site on condition that to queue to get cocktails, beer, food. A tail by type of consumption then ask before the lime. Sunset in this place is magical.
