FUNDAÇÃO HANSEN BAHIA
Museum featuring numerous paintings and woodcuts by artist Hansen Bahia, inspired by the misery of the human condition
The Fundaçao Hansen Bahia museum features numerous paintings and woodcuts by the German-born artist, all inspired by the misery of the human condition. Since 2010, the museum has moved into a new, more suitable space, and now has 480 m² for its exhibitions and activities. The museum was originally housed in the birthplace of another illustrious Cachoeira figure, Ana Nery, a volunteer nurse whose commitment during the Paraguayan War (1860s) prefigured the work of the Red Cross.
