Ruins of the fort on the seafront, east of the port, offering a beautiful panoramic view and ideal for watching the sunset
One does not go to Morro de São Paulo in search of old stones or to satisfy one's passion for Brazilian history. However, as soon as you arrive by boat, you won't be able to miss the imposing stone portico with its engraved lintel that overlooks the port. It is one of the vestiges of the time when the village was fortified, like the ruins of the fort (on the seafront, east of the port) from which one enjoys a beautiful panoramic view, especially at sunset. The whole is certainly of reduced dimension, we are not in Salvador, but it is worth the glance.
