BAHIAB ECOTURISMO

Based on the island of Boipeba in the state of Bahia since 2006, BahiaB Ecoturismo is a travel agency specializing in ecotourism. Listed by the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism, the agency offers French-speaking tours to discover the treasures of Bahia. Respectful of nature and the local population, BahiaB Ecoturismo contributes to the development of the local economy. On the car-free island of Boipeba, the agency offers half-day activities such as cooking, samba, capoeira and berimbau classes. It's also possible to take part in fishing activities with the locals, hike in the primary forest, visit a cocoa plantation and make chocolate, or go on an excursion to the sea or mangrove swamps. In Salvador de Bahia, Brazil's historic capital, the agency offers visits to a sea turtle protection center, a cigar factory and a fishermen's favela, as well as guided tours of the city.
