The old village of Boipeba, with its wide, sandy streets, is one of the island's three towns

Boipeba or vila Velha de Boipeba (old village of Boipeba) is one of the three small settlements on the island. Despite its name vila Velha, there are no historical buildings or monuments in this extended village with sandy streets where it is good to get lost. The port area is the most lively during the day, and in the evening you can go out into the center and the streets adjacent to the main square (adorned with a sculpture by the artist Bel Borba, the town hall has thought about culture). It is here that you can find a bit of animation in the bars and restaurants.
