A real pantanal in miniature, ideal for kayaking, this marshy area is extremely rich in terms of biodiversity
The Marimbus "mini-pantanal" is a little-known part of the Chapada Diamantina. Yet it is a rich and original place. It takes its name from the Marimbus fazenda. It's a marshy area extremely rich in biodiversity, fed by the waters of the Santo Antonio River, at the foot of the Serra de Sincora. Here you can kayak, birdwatch, fish... It's a real pantanal in miniature, just a few dozen minutes' drive from Lençois. Here you can meet a quilombola community that has been established for decades.
