PEDRA FURADA
A pierced rock on the seafront with a central opening, featured on all Jericoacoara postcards
The pedra furada, or pierced stone, is a rock at the seaside with a central opening that appears on all postcards of Jericoacoara. Many tourists make the trip to watch the sunset, especially in July when the sun passes exactly inside the opening. This is not to be confused with the pedra furada in the state of Piaui.
To get there: the attraction is part of the lagoon tour, but you can also get there on foot, beware of the sun hitting hard!
