A typical casarão (Portuguese colonial villa), Casa Lavinia is a unique and intimate place built in the middle of the 19th century, right in the heart of the old centre of São Luís. On the ground floor there is a large courtyard with tropical plants, while on the first floor there is a spacious lounge with a subdued atmosphere and four magnificent high-ceilinged suites. The buffet breakfast is served on the large table in the dining room. French reception and possibility to organize excursions. Our favorite!
