A solar is a patrician house in Brazil from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. The Solar das Pedras is a well located establishment, in the heart of the historical centre. It is an old restored colonial house with 46 beds, divided into collective, individual and family rooms. It is part of the youth hostel network. The exterior could do with a coat of paint, but the faded appearance gives it a certain authenticity. It is especially suitable for backpackers. The dormitories are not mixed. More intimate rooms.
