A solar is a patrician house in Brazil from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. The Solar das Pedras is a well located establishment, in the heart of the historical centre. It is an old restored colonial house with 46 beds, divided into collective, individual and family rooms. It is part of the youth hostel network. The exterior could do with a coat of paint, but the faded appearance gives it a certain authenticity. It is especially suitable for backpackers. The dormitories are not mixed. More intimate rooms.

Très jolie hostel (maison colonial), très bien situé et géré par une famille très accueillante. Je recommande pour découvrir la ville avec un petit budget.

L'hostel solar das pedras est un établissement sans prétention où vous trouverez des chambres simples. Le lieu en revanche est magnifique (ancienne maison coloniale) et idéalement situé pour visiter la vieille ville ! Attention l'hostel n'est pas listé sur hostelworld et ils demandent une avance de paiement. Un conseil, pour éviter le virement international, passez par booking :)

La situation de l'hostel en plein coeur de la vieille ville de São Luis est son principal intérêt. Ne manquez pas les soirées animées du vendredi soir en descendant le grand escalier au bout de la rue...
