Founded in 1958, the central market of Curitiba is certainly the most pleasant place to shop like a real curitibense. The "belly of Curitiba" may not be very big, but there is a good coffee shop (with several national varieties to taste or take away), stalls and a few restaurants on site. You can buy wine, cheese, "ethnic" products, medicinal herbs. On the first floor is the organic products area, with a restaurant. It is the meeting place for people from all walks of life in the city.

Il regroupe tous types de commerces. Vous pourrez y trouver bien entendu des fruits et légumes exotiques, des fruits séchés, de la viande, du poisson, mais également des boutiques vendant des objets divers et variés, et même une loterie ! Il y a également des boutiques "du monde" telles que des boutiques de nourriture Asiatique.
Au premier étage se trouve la "praça de alimentaçao" où vous trouverez des restaurants divers (buffets au kilo, restaurant Japonais etc) et notamment une pastelaria dont les pasteis sont tout simplement exceptionnels pour un prix relativement correct ! Il vous suffit de passer commande au guichet et de vous asseoir autour d'une table en attendant que votre commande soit prête !
