Mar & sol is a restaurant now established as a benchmark on the island. It is reached on foot from the das conchas lighthouse. The place is simple and pleasant. The menu is quite varied, but the main attraction is the fish specialties, especially the moquecas, and the seafood, especially the casquinha de siri. The moqueca de camarao, as good as in Bahia, is more than enough for two guests. During the high season, the Mar & Sol is a victim of its own success, and you sometimes have to wait a little before being served. Expensive but good.

Endroit idéal pour la pause déjeuner lors d'une excursion depuis la plage d'Encantadas juqu'au phare de l'île. Ambiance tropicale pour ce restaurant servant les classiques de la cuisine brésilienne : poisson, crevettes ou poulet grillé accompagnés de frites, riz, haricots noirs et salade de crudités. Portions généreuses, comme souvent au Brésil !
