For hikers or cyclists: The mission route covers 180 km, which can be flown on foot in seven days and by bike in 5 days. A shorter option, three days on foot or 3 days by bike (and 78 km) is also possible. The idea is from Sao Borja to Santo Angelo, or the reverse, and to stop in the missions of Sao Nicolau, Sao Lourenço, Sao Miguel and Sao Joao Batista where there are Jesuit mission buildings.
