Brazilian and international tourists who come to Cáceres to practice ecotourism or sport fishing usually come from Cuiabà. Caceres is fairly well connected to the capital of the state of Mato Grosso. Several buses per day serve Cuiabá between 1h25 and 19. 3h30 to 4h30 of travel and 45 R$ one way. Be careful, the bus station of Cáceres is in the city. Many travellers mistakenly get off at the Vale do Araguaia bus station which is called Terminal Rodoviário de Cáceres.
