Well-run youth hostel near the old town, offering local excursions and rafting sessions
The Pantanal Backpacker is a well run hostel affiliated to Hi Hostelling International. Ideally located, it is 500 meters from the old town and the "praça popular", where the heart of Cuiabà's nightlife beats, with its bars and restaurants. Good reception and clean toilets. Very good for a night or two. There are also excursions in the surroundings (Chapada, Nobres or in Cuiaba itself) and rafting sessions.
