ART INDIA
FUNAI (Foundation for the Preservation of Amerindian Cultures) markets handicrafts made by the many tribes in the region. Ceramics, vanneries, feathers with feathers, but also various delicacies, tropical fruit jams and liqueurs. There are beautiful vases of the Kadiweu tribe, sculptures Xavante and Pataxo… Traditional jewels in natural seed and wood are guaranteed. Prices are a little high, but some of the subsidies are reinvested in tribes and the purchase of handicrafts makes it possible to maintain the culture and autonomy of the first peoples… even if something else is expected of the Brazilian state rather than paternalistic attitude.
