Cave protected by IPHAN, featuring an incredible blue lake and gigantic stalagmites and stalactites

We have to take a small sloping path to get to the viewpoint. Discovered by a Terena Indian in 1924, this 10 million year old cave, protected by the IPHAN, can be visited for its incredible blue lake. It is one of the largest flooded caves that can be visited on earth. Divers have been able to descend to 90 meters without reaching the bottom. A skeleton of a giant sloth and a tiger's tooth "saber tooth" have been found there. Huge stalagmites and stalactites at the bottom of the long descent into the bowels of the earth.
