Hotel Marajoara is a great value option in Belém. It's located at an ideal distance from the Amazonian city's points of interest (500 meters from the Nossa Senhora de Nazaré basilica and less than two kilometers from the "dock station" and Ver o Peso market). The decor, a little kitsch, is Amazonian-inspired. All rooms are simple and clean, with air conditioning, fridge-bar and private bathroom. The area is quite safe, and the service is pleasant and very efficient.
