Small eclectic palace designed by engineer Francisco Bolonho, part of the city's historic heritage

The name Bolonha is known in Belém for several reasons. It's the name of an engineer whose talent made it possible to design some of the city's buildings. The Bolonha palace is the fruit of this man's passion. This small palace was in fact a gift from engineer Francisco Bolonha to his wife Alice Tem-Brik. This may give some people ideas. Dating from 1905, it was built when Belém was known as "Paris n'América". Eclectic in style, it is an integral part of the city's historic heritage.
