Not very large park, in the residence of the governors of Pará, offering a pleasant setting for a walk in the open air
The Parque da Residência, where the Secretariat of Culture is now located, was the residence of the governors of Pará, hence its name. The gardens have been refurbished into a park that is not very large, but which provides a pleasant setting for a walk in the open air. There is a small orchidarium and good local food at the Restô do Parque. You can see the carriage of the old Belèm-Bragança railway line, which the governors used to travel to the interior of the vast Amazonian state of Parà.
