The Praia do Farol is a beautiful urban beach with easy access, it is the most frequented of the island. Contrary to what one could imagine by looking at the blue waves, it is indeed a river island, even if it is difficult to perceive the other bank. There are even waves that accentuate the impression of being on a coastline of the "ocean sea", as the discoverers of the Americas used to say.
