Museum housing a series of interesting paintings and documents, as well as a collection of tapajonic pottery and sculptures...
This 1867 building, one of the oldest in the city, designed by the engineer Marco Pereira, was originally a prison before being converted successively into a town hall and a court and finally housing the Santarém City Museum. It contains a series of interesting paintings and documents dating from the early days of the city, as well as a fine collection of tapajonic pottery and sculptures, figurines and funerary urns.
