A lively square with two cannons and a terrace perfect for observing the bustle of the city center
Praça do Centenario is a lively place to enjoy a drink, sitting quietly on a terrace while watching the bustle of the city center. Praça do Centenário is also known as Praça São Raimundo Nonato, because of the eponymous church on one side. It is the district's main square. It is so named because it was built in 1948, the centenary of Santarém's acquisition of city status. The square is embellished with two cannons.
