It is possible, from the pier of the Carnazal restaurant, located a few kilometres before the entrance to Alter do Chão, to take a canoe trip accompanied by a guide on the water bodies in the heart of the submerged forest. A great experience, to be planned in advance by phone, to discuss rates and duration of the excursion (they usually take place in the morning).
