Anthropogenic excavation, now an 18 m deep lagoon filled with clear blue water
This is a magnificent place to take pictures, as the contrasts of color between the green of the Amazon jungle, the azure blue of the water of the "lagoa azul" and the changing reflections lend themselves to the difficult exercise of landscape photography. The Lagoa Azul is an excavation of anthropic origin, made at the time of the exploitation of manganese. Today it is a lagoon of 18 meters deep filled with clear blue water with a high chlorine content (and thus without fish, the pH being too acid for them). You can swim there.
