PARQUE CULTURAL PONTA NEGRA
Nice, quiet beach with extensive restoration work, located near one of Manaus' most popular districts
This riverside park had fallen into disrepair prior to its redevelopment for the 2014 World Cup. Major restoration work was then undertaken and the park gained gazebos, a square with a fountain, an open theater and a water mirror. The park is a pretty, quiet beach, close to one of Manaus's most popular neighborhoods. The water of the Rio Negro is blackish, but pure. Nearby, you can also take a shower under the waterfalls.
