The Canadian Embassy in Tripoli, Libya, is currently closed due to the security situation in the country. However, it continues to operate from the Canadian Embassy in Tunis, Tunisia, until conditions permit its reopening. Despite this closure, Canada maintains diplomatic relations with Libya and remains committed to supporting the Libyan people in their efforts to establish a stable and secure democracy. The embassy offers a range of services to Canadians visiting or living in Libya, such as information on international adoption, education abroad, marriage abroad, birth registration abroad, pensions and retirement abroad, citizenship services, passport services, visa and immigration services, notary services and voting from abroad.
